Master of education (internet computing)

Master of Education (Information Technology) aims to promote the professionalism of educators, educational administrators, teacher trainers, instructional designers, and professionals in educational-related services to masteri the emerging technologies and educational application in order to transform teaching and learning. This program is intended to produce graduates with a deep understanding of content knowledge, theories, developments and issues in respective specialisation areas of current and new educational technologies; and who also possess skills to conduct critically reflective education technology-related research.

The program can be completed within 1 year and 6 month – 3 years for full-time candidates and 2 – 5 years for part-time candidates.  Candidates who enroll in this program are required to register for the following courses:

– E-learning platforms and tools: Exploring the design, development, and evaluation of online learning platforms, interactive multimedia modules, gamified learning environments, and other digital tools for educational purposes.

– Data-driven decision making in education: Analyzing and leveraging data obtained from internet-based educational platforms to inform educational policy, improve instruction, and enhance learning outcomes.

– Mobile learning and ubiquitous computing: Examining the role of mobile technologies, internet-connected devices, and wearable devices in supporting anytime and anywhere learning, as well as the implications for curriculum design, pedagogy, and student engagement.

– Digital literacy and digital citizenship: Investigating strategies and interventions to promote digital literacy skills among students, teachers, and parents, as well as exploring issues related to online safety, privacy, and responsible use of technology.

– Online assessment and feedback: Exploring innovative approaches for designing and implementing online assessments, as well as examining the effectiveness and efficiency of providing feedback in online learning environments.
