Doctor of Philosophy (Software Engineering)

This research course endeavors for imparting in-depth knowledge and application of the methodology to investigate original research problems through a systematic and focused approach peculiarly in software engineering. Furthermore, the students will be able to exhibit specialized knowledge and ability to use appropriate research methodology in the software engineering. This course will also embrace advanced theoretical concepts in software engineering and provides extensive hands-on experience in dealing with various issues of software development. It involves a semester-long group software development project spanning software project planning and management, analysis of requirements, construction of software architecture and design, implementation, and quality assessment. The course will introduce formal specification, component-based software engineering, and software maintenance and evolution.

The program can be completed within :

Full-Time : 6 semester (minimum) – 10 semester (maximum)

Part-Time : 8 semester (minimum) – 14 semester (maximum)

**Students are required to attend at least one course of research methodology (GRU70104) throughout the study and meet the requirements of the audit course. Students may also be required to attend other courses on the Faculty’s proposal and meet the audit course requirements.

Web Design & Technologies, Internet Applications, Web Authoring, Web Informatics, Web Programming. Web and informatics is a discipline which also integrates with other creative media area such as Advertising Design, Knowledge Management, Media Arts, etc. Web is an invention that evolutionize the creative content creation and delivery. Web design and Internet based technologies is advancing from time to time and regulated by World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) to meet different demands of new technologies and delivery platforms. Therefore, this research area is also an area interested by the researchers for improving the creative and yet feasible delivery contents to the end users.
