Doctor of Philosophy (Multimedia Education)

The Doctor of Philosophy in Multimedia Education programme provides students with specialisation education in the various fields of multimedia. This is achieved through a completion of academic coursework in the major fields with an independent research project. This program  aims to produce graduates in the field of multimedia, whom are professionals with advanced knowledge, highly skilled, versatile and equipped with competitive advantage in the field of multimedia as a catalyst to research, development and innovation to fulfil the current prospects.

The program can be completed within :

Full-Time : 6 semester (minimum) – 10 semester (maximum)

Part-Time : 8 semester (minimum) – 14 semester (maximum)

**Students are required to attend at least one course of research methodology (GRU70104) throughout the study and meet the requirements of the audit course. Students may also be required to attend other courses on the Faculty’s proposal and meet the audit course requirements.

 

Multimedia Learning, Digital storytelling, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Multimedia instructional design, Mobile and Ubiquitous Learning, Instructional Systems Design, Organization Learning, Computer Assisted Learning, Multimedia-assisted language learning. An evolving area of research due to the advancement of multimedia, learning technologies and learning ecosystems facilitated by the Internet or new media technologies. Media, contents, instructional strategies, learners, and instructors are getting more “sophisticated” for demanding a greater quality of theories, methods, media contents and delivery, etc for enriching learning experiences.
