OVERVIEW

The Bachelor of Software Engineering (Educational Software) with Honours Program (Code: AC10) offered by Sultan Idris Education University (UPSI) is a program that combines software engineering expertise with educational elements. This program aims to produce graduates who are knowledgeable, highly skilled, and capable of developing high-quality software applications that are relevant to current educational needs and the industry.

The duration of the study is four years (eight semesters) on a full-time basis. Students will take core courses such as Object-Oriented Programming, Data Structures, Software Design and Testing, Databases, Human-Computer Interaction, and Final Year Project. Additionally, there is a pedagogical component that provides students with exposure to the fundamentals of teaching and learning, especially in the field of information and communication technology (ICT).

Through industrial training, students have the opportunity to gain practical experience in organizations related to technology and education. This enables them to understand the real challenges in software development and adapt to the demands of the job market.

Graduates of AC10 have the potential to become software engineers, systems analysts, educational application developers, computer teachers, and researchers in the field of educational technology. Emphasis on soft skills, problem-solving, and critical thinking prepares them to face the challenges of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0).
