OVERVIEW
The Bachelor of Education (Computer Aided Design Technology) with Honours program aims to produce graduates who are knowledgeable, creative, innovative, and competitive in the field of computer-aided design technology (CAD) within the educational sector. Graduates will be equipped with both technical and pedagogical skills in CAD, as well as the ability to develop effective designs and solutions of integrated technology to support teaching and learning purposes. The educational objectives of this program encompass mastery of knowledge in the field of educational CAD, technical and teaching skills, as well as proficiency in communication and information management through technology. Additionally, the program emphasises the development of soft skills, social competencies, and entrepreneurial abilities to produce well-rounded educators who can contribute to the development of society and the nation.
The students will undertake courses covering educational and program core subjects, including Computer Programming, Engineering Technology, Design Communication, Design Process, Computer Aided Design, Product Data Management, Manufacturing Technology, Analogue and Digital Electronics, Industrial Design Management, Robotic Automation Technology, reflecting the latest approaches in the education of computer-aided design technology and integrated technology.
